Research & roadmap
A roadmap built around evidence.
Adil Edge is an active engineering and research programme. Our plans are ambitious, but we will not call a capability shipped until it has been implemented, tested and released.
Stage 1
Stage 1 — Foundations and evaluation
Define the runtime architecture, edition responsibilities, offline expectations, model-candidate evaluation and repeatable measurement contracts.
Stage 2
Stage 2 — Safety and reliability
Exercise resource controls, startup and shutdown behaviour, isolation, code identity and evidence integrity on bounded test configurations.
Stage 3
Stage 3 — Memory and performance experiments
Investigate memory loading, quantisation, inference throughput, CPU optimisation and energy efficiency. Evaluate candidates using identical hardware and tasks.
Stage 4
Stage 4 — Product prototypes
Develop Micro, Core and VPS prototypes with release-specific compatibility evidence. Prioritise Linux/VPS and Android/ARM64 first.
Stage 5
Stage 5 — Controlled pilots and release preparation
Validate selected real-world workloads, packaging, licences, installation, documentation, security processes and rollback.
Stage 6
Stage 6 — Product availability and expansion
Consider public downloads, commercial SDK availability, wider OS support and additional performance modes as readiness and demand justify.
Platform priorities
- First priority: Planned
- Linux/VPS and Android/ARM64.
- Second priority: Planned
- Windows and macOS.
- Later: Later
- Embedded Linux/ARM for specific deployments.
- Deferred: Deferred
- iOS/iPadOS until clear commercial demand.
Longer-horizon research
Research
Hardware-adaptive Eco/Balanced/CPU Boost/optional Turbo modes; stronger compact-task capability; governed retrieval and signed adapter improvements; reproducible energy reporting.
No release dates or hardware compatibility promises are implied by this roadmap.
