Security & privacy · Design direction
Privacy starts with where the work happens.
Keep local work local.
Adil Edge is being designed so that approved local capabilities can operate without sending task data to a cloud AI provider by default.
Important: This is a design commitment for planned offline configurations, not a blanket guarantee covering all future host applications, plugins or integrations.
Our security engineering direction
- Local processing
- Keep approved inference and related data handling on the chosen device or server where configured.
- Minimal connectivity
- Separate optional update, licensing or integration workflows from core offline tasks.
- Explicit resource bounds
- Investigate deterministic limits and fail-closed behaviour where critical.
- Input and action separation
- Restrict what generated text can authorise or change.
- Artefact identity
- Plan for checked runtime, model and configuration versions.
- Reviewable releases
- Design approvals, evidence retention, signing and rollback before general availability.
Offline does not automatically mean secure
Private execution reduces some data-transfer risks but does not remove device security, supply-chain, access-control or software-update responsibilities. Our engineering programme treats these as separate requirements requiring validation.
Security claims and release status
There is no current public claim of security certification, independent penetration-test approval, regulatory compliance certification or production-grade privacy audit for Adil Edge. Those claims must await evidence and relevant review.
